Being a Disabled Veteran I needed a lightweight Upwalker for inside of the house and chose this one. Being over six foot, non of them are tall enough for me, but since there is nothing else in the marketplace I work with it.I contacted the manufacturer of this product & they said based on the foot print of the unit, they can not make it taller as it can become top heavy and tip over. So, I am stuck with it for in the house, I work around it, but it is far better than the short standard walkers which cause wrist problems.I have a true substantial UPWALKER in my SUV that is made for people 5’7″ to 6’4″ that I use when I am away from the house. Unfortunately it is too large to use inside of the house.

Having Parkinson’s, I couldn’t walk the bare minimum of 2,000 steps a day. While I have the usual extreme hesitancy taking the first step, this walker allows me to take subsequent steps somewhat normally! Don’t know if the “cage” helps balance? Once I am moving, I shift my hands from the grips to the frame just below the arm rests, allowing me to walk, “pushing” the walker ahead of me up and down the halls of my apartment building.Note-works only with carpeting and no obstructions.
