This is a great memory foam pillow for napping and to use as a back rest. I primarily work from home, and my chair isn’t the most ergonomic. This pillow works great as a cushion for my lower back and provides great support.I haven’t tried this pillow for sleeping throughout the night since I have two pillows that I’ve been using for years. BUT I have fallen asleep on this pillow for a couple of unintentional naps – it’s that soft! This pillow compares favorably to my other memory foam pillow, which is a lot firmer. That being said, I’m not sure how this pillow stacks up to pricier memory foam pillows. But for the price, it’s solid. Some of the features I like are the dip for neck support and the material – it keeps the pillow kind of cool. I’m not sure if this was intentional or not. A con about the pillow is the smell out of the packaging. The shape admittedly may not be for everyone. I also don’t like the gold/yellow lining. But of course that’s not noticeable once you put a pillow cover over it.Ultimately, what this pillow reminds me of is a thicker, compact memory foam mattress pad. It’s definitely worth a try to see if it works for you.

I am so 100% pleased with this pillow. I ordered it 2 weeks ago and just pulled it out last night,I have so many problems in my neck and back. I was diagnosed with cervical myopathy in my neck and need surgery, herniations and bulging discs, after going over the reviews I decided to go with this pillow. I am so grateful I did the reviews were not lying,I think I fell into a good sleep last night for the first time in a very long time. If anyone out there is having neck and back issues I kid you not you NEED this pillow,I thought oh what I’d it going to do but I’m so happy I ordered it. Nothing but surgery will take the pain away however the pillow was so comfortable and let me have a good sleep you need this pillow!thank you amazon for carrying this and thank you everyone for your reviews on this cervical pillow which allowed me to make up my mind.

I have been looking for “that perfect pillow” for some time. This is no small feat. And, it seems that even the highly recommended pillows are rifled with bad reviews, which makes the decision even more difficult. The problem is a pillow is a highly personal item. What one person finds utterly comfortable, the other will wake up stiff and with a searing headache from. These issues all too frequently, and in many cases wrongly, get blamed on the pillow and its manufacturer. When purchasing a pillow it is important to take your own size into account. I have been suffering from a pinched nerve in my neck, and was not aware of this until informed by my chiropractor and subsequent research. When you lay your head on your pillow, either on your side your nose should be aligned with your spine. On your back, your nose should be straight as well, not angled up, or pushed down. If you are a back sleeper, you should always have another pillow under your legs. If on your side, you should have one between them, and your arm should be cradled for best spinal alignment. Of course, you don’t want a pillow that is so soft that your head and neck isn’t supported and out of alignment with your spine. And, you don’t want one that is so hard it feels like you are lying on a brick. Hardness is mostly an issue of personal comfort, but softness is an extremely important factor as you need the appropriate level of neck and head support throughout the night. It’s all about SIZE. You don’t want your head pushed up, and you don’t want your head sinking down. Figuring this out, and getting the right sized pillow will help you tremendously in the long run when it comes to spinal health. I have certainly figured this out the hard way.For these reasons, it is difficult to actually “rate” a pillow. But, taking what I’ve said above into account, I’ll try for this one. For me, this pillow is the perfect size. It is almost the perfect softness, and it provides the best support for my neck and head of any pillow I’ve ever owned. While I continue to heal–slowly–this pillow has contributed to deeper sleep, that every day is becoming more prolonged, and to less pain and stiffness during the night and when I wake up. It cradles my head in the dip in the center, while providing the appropriate amount of support for my neck. It is the right size for me. I’m about 6’2 with a slender neck. And, whether I’m on my side or back, it works almost perfectly for me. Lying on it in front of a mirror, on my side, there is a straight line from my nose down the center of my body so I can see my sleep will be in alignment. So, should you buy this pillow? I can’t tell you that. No one really can. It really depends on your size and how this pillow “fits” you. Just like a pair of trousers or a fitted shirt, you need a pillow that actually fits your measurements. And, that pillow can’t be too soft, or too hard. For me, this one fits, and it is almost perfect with its degree of softness.
