I sometime wonder about some of the negative reviews I see on an item. This item delivered exactly what I expected for my personal intended use and I just don’t relate to the negative reviews I saw. I find it hard to imaging this item being resold after someone returns it. Once you remove the packaging and reinflate it, I don’t see you one could compress it again to return it.I opened it up and it came up to the intended shape in about 30 minutes. While the instructions advised “days” to reinflate, I saw no need to wait days and used in the evening I opened it. I use it to keep my legs up to help me sleep on my back comfortably. It delivers but I did find it took some experimenting with which side to use for which part of my legs. For me, the long gradual slop is most comfortable under my caffs. I have never used it to prop up my back so no comments on that application.I put a normal pillow case over it but had to do a bit of compression to get it on.From a comfort perspective, I find the firmness meets my needs perfectly. Too too firm, not too squishy. I am 5’7″ and about 165 lbs and don’t have heavy legs. Considering some of the rather negative reviews I saw, I have to wonder whether people that are extremely thin or heavy might have a different perspective.

While my mother was in the hospital, the nurses used pillows or very firm wedges to roll her from side to side to prevent bedsores. Neither was comfortable for my mother for any length of time. Looking through Galenus Medical, I found this wedge. I liked that it was memory foam. I am able to position it when then bed is flat, then adjust the bed to her comfort. The wedge gives to the bend of the bed while still giving her the lift she needs to prevent sores. Her PTs and OTs were very impressed by the quality and the positive results. Made me feel like I made the right decision with this purchase. For a while I thought about donating to a rehab/hospice/hospital, but think I keep it for my use in the future, as I feel my back get achier by the day.

I love the shape of the pillow for comfort, it’s a little too firm! Hopefully with use it will soften,so my legs will find more comfort!
