I was so happy when I got this. If you have had to move a patient in the bed you will understand how this works and how great it is. You just let the patient lay on the pad, either slide it under them one side at a time or maybe they are just staying on it. When they need to be moved up in the bed you have somebody on both sides of the bed and hold one of these sewn in handles and just pull right on up. Makes it so much easier. I had my mother bedbound for a bit and we had a heck of a time moving her just using a folded sheet and tucking under her. Having these handles to hold onto for the care taker is great. I was so happy with this mat. I highly recommend for anybody that is dealing with somebody that is bed bound and needs to be moved.

I ordered this pad to use for my mother, since she recently had surgery and needs a lot of help while she recovers. I can use this pad to help reposition her in bed and for other uses as well. The pad itself is comfortable to lay on, but the straps are not padded. For that reason I recommend wearing gloves when you use this, otherwise the straps might dig into your hands and cause some pain. The pad does come with a storage bag, which is nice. But I can’t give this product 5 stars unless the straps are improved.

This product works fairly well, but I’m not sure how to set it up to make it not slide under the patient. It also is pretty warm for the patient.
