We love that this was quick and easy to set up, folds for easy travel or for cleaning, feels sturdy and you can adjust the width to a generous size. (The last one we got was attached to the toilet in a complicated manner, and the sides came forward so far that you couldn’t spread your legs to wipe.)That being said if the person needing it has a physical or mental condition such that they might pull on it instead of pushing down then not be able to recover their balance you might have to find a way to attach it to the wall/floor, or look at things that are anchored down. For us this is perfect, easy to use, move, steady.

This product undoubtedly has helped after hip surgery created a more secure and stable aperatus to support the up and down seated position.Would recommend highly ..The rails are easy to assemble and suction cups on legs help with firm floor stability

I took my time setting this up, and took about half an hour total. It would have been a little less if I had watched the video first, if the machining had been more precise and everything fit right, and if the manual had been a bit more clear. For the best reference, know that the two rails go in the back. This will help you figure out which is the left and which is the right armrest, but that doesn’t matter at this point (Step 2 and 3, installing the screws and knobs in the armrests). What you want to do is put the hexagonal screw head on the side that has the hexagonal opening, and put the bronze washer and the knob on the other side of the tube. The manual has internal inconsistencies. The parts list shows the screw, washer, and knob as unit unit, labeled “Pentagon Screw.” These are three items that come assembled, but need to be taken apart for assembly. In Step 2, the manual references the pentagon screw, bronze washer, and knob. In Step 3, which is the same as Step 2 except for the other armrest, the manual references using the hexagon screw, tightening using the rotary knob, then adding in the bronze washer, but the bronze washer needs to be put on the screw before the rotary knob is tightened. In step 4, the user is told to press the spring button for connecting the left and right armrests at the back. In the width and height adjustment, it references “marble” instead of spring button. The armrest tubes have black caps on them that are not mentioned in the manual. These need to be removed before putting in the leg tubes. I don’t see any other use for them. Two of the four arm rest tubes were not perfectly round, and the middle leg tubes were difficult to insert. I had to partially insert the middle leg tube and roll it around the inside to get the arm rest tube widened enough the middle leg tube would fit in (Scott, this is what I am showing with the bright picture that is looking down a tube and you can see the metal edge inside the rubber cover. The spring buttons also didn’t pop back out like they should right away. I needed to remove the tube I was inserting, manually pop the spring out, then reinsert the tube for the spring button to pop out.The orientation of the leg tubes isn’t mentioned. You’ll want to make sure the single holes on the leg tubes are facing the same direction so you can later adjust the height. I needed to turn around two tubes when I realized this. The suction cups appear to work great. However, we can’t use them on our floor since the grout lines are right where the rear legs go and there is no suction. It seems OK for getting up and down.
