I bought this because my wife had fallen and broke her collar bone. She likes the handle height and that it flips back out of the way. However, it does get close to the flush handle but it isn’t limiting. We have a Kholer comfort height toilet where the handle is on the side. One thing that needs to be addressed is the advertisement that it will support 520 pounds. The device has a large yellow sticker that says plainly that using both handles it only supports 264 pounds. This weight difference isn’t a problem for us but it could be for others. The installation was pretty straight forward. Here in the states toilet seat mounting holes are the same. Being a Kholer it uses stainless steel bolts for the seat. I grabbed a couple of larger washers and wing nuts, both stainless steel, and installed the bracket and seat instead of using some oddball looking bolts.

This system is a keeper. It’s solid , and good looking. It doesn’t look like geratric hospital equipment , which I hated. The other bolted together unit I had worked for not bearing down and putting pressure on my knees, but it always made me feel a lot older and more decrepit than I am, every time I went to use it. We need more items like this: Equipment that helps us without looking so barebones awful.

We got this product for our downstairs toilet, which is used by all generations and this offered us an excellent compromise. It is extremely sturdy when installed. The only thing I will know is that depending on your toilet seat and the type of screws you might have to buy a new toilet seat so it fits the metal fitting.
