This is a very solid and secure transfer board from bad to wheelchair for a patient. It is made with a rigid metal frame with handles on both sides. The bottom is covered with a layer of solid plastic. When you put eh wheelchair and the bed in the same level, this board is very stable to sit in between. There is a locking mechanist on the round seat that it doesn’t move until the patient to sit on. That will make the transfer very secures from unexpected slippery. This seat is also turntable and movable freely with the patient, so the transfer is made easy. The whole thing is very light. It is easy to carry with the two handles.

This BYZVUN Sliding Transfer Board can work well with the right patient.This board measures 36 (L) x 8.25 (W) and has a 12 inch round seat attached. The round seat slides allowing someone that is on it to move from one side to another. The seat moves well when weight is on it and does not move freely unless pressure/weight is put onto it.This board is made from plastic (the listing says that it is made from sturdy aluminum material) and weighs only 5 pounds. There are handles on both sides making it easy to transport. It comes with 2 foam boards that are attached on the inner ends of the board that measure a little over 6 x 4. They are meant to slide and keep fingers from getting pinches during movement. I found that there was more than ample space between the bottom of the seat and the board to not have to worry about my hands/fingers getting pinched.I tried this transfer board from foot rest to chair, from bench to bench and from couch to table. Unfortunately we do not have any stable chairs in the house to use so I had to improvise. Across all transfers it was smooth and easy to maneuver.I have but one concern, and that is who this board is being used for. If it is being used with someone that has the faculties and is able to comprehend and follow instructions this board can be great. But for someone that is impaired and cannot follow instructions this can be potentially dangerous. I cannot see this board being used with someone in advanced stages of dementia. There is just too much that can go wrong.

I bought this transfer board for my dad to move from bed to wheelchair and wheelchair to couch. The transfer board is made of sturdy material and only weighs around 5 pounds. Only when my dad sits on the sliding disc, it moves to the end for safe transfer. There are handles on both ends for a secure and comfortable grip. There are 2 blocks on the sides that will allow me to adjust the sliding distance. They can be removed and quickly install when required. The sliding disc is capable of 360° rotation.You have to be careful when positioning the individual on the disc so that the transfer board is level on both sides and there is no inclination. I use it with my dad to transfer from car to wheelchair as well. It has been working good enough so far and will serve my purpose. I recommend it for elderly and disabled individuals. I gave 5 stars for its thoughtful design and ease of use.
