So cool looking, so much fun! I sat right along side of the kids as they played with this – we made letters, shapes… It is very nicely made and feels durable. We put it on the wall in the hallway, about 2ft from the floor. The kids have no problem getting to it. I could also be propped, so it can be portable .

The easel is problematic & not practical for use. It’s fine for display, but it is not large or strong enough to support the panel during use / play.In addition to that, the screw & wing nut assembly loosens easily & sticks out quite a bit. The bamboo used for the easel is also cut into sharp points at the top which may pose a safety issue in addition to the bolt which sticks out. Bear this in mind when considering the ages & temperaments of the people using it.The board itself is marvelous. It’s well constructed and heavy. The sequin fabric is very well attached & sequins remain attached to it. Before you use it, you will want to spend time loosening the sequins by pushing them in their opposite direction. It’s a bit of work and I needed to use my nails. After the initial “play” session, the sequins become much easier to move and you can easily draw with them. The color is great and the blue to silver creates excellent visual contrast. The silver is mirror like and takes on surrounding colors as well. The frame & backing feel very solid and are neutral. If using it unmounted, there’s potential for a diy chalkboard on the back side. After initially loosening the sequins, I turned it over to my own children who used it for an hour or so with no lost sequins (hooray!) Like all sequin sensory boards, the sequins don’t always go back perfectly & there are a few stragglers. The construction feels heavier than I’d expect for home use, with the exception of the easel. I’ll be wall mounting it in a therapy room and expect it to be appropriately durable.

One of those things that makes you wonder why you didn’t think of it.Turn the sequins one way and they are one color, flip them for another. It comes with puffy stickers and an easel but we intent to mount in the wall.A bit expensive for what it is, but definitely has potential to keep kids entertained. Vibrant color!
