I appreciate the way it’s so easy to fold and unfold. Its comfortable. It is easy to push and I love the hand breaks. The weight is easy to lift to put in the vehicle. It was assembled so all I had to do was open the box. I’m very satisfied and recommended this product.

Lighweight and durable for our present needs. Rolls easy and slim enough to fit through narrow door. Convenient and easy to load in a vehicle. The only issue I have up to this point is the bolts holding the brake assembly broke and this made to wheel chair unsafe for use. Due to time restraints I will not have enough time for a replacement. I had some bolts on hand and I was able to replace the damage one and will replace to other at a later time. Once I replace the damage bolt, the wheel chair work as is should and will provide many years of use.

Updated Review after 4 months:I’m downgrading my review of this wheelchair because the bolt connecting the left rear brake broke after less than 4 months of usage, longer than Galenus Medical return policy allows. I contacted the vendor but they could provide no assistance.Original Review:We bought this smaller “travel wheelchair” because our standard Medicare-provided wheelchair is too large to fit in any of our bathrooms. Those bathroom doorways are 20” wide and so is the front-width of this wheelchair. We can maneuver this chair into the bathrooms by wiggling it in, though it frequently rubs just a little. Which comes to my second point. The rear wheels of this wheelchair have rubber covers over the nuts which minimizes the contact with the doorway. The front wheels have just a metal nut which scrapes the door jambs; ouch! Otherwise, this chair is comfortable and lightweight, so it can be easily transported in the trunk or backseat of my car.

I got this for my Mom, she uses it in the house to move around in the kitchen. It’s nicely made and portable. There are two issues though I would like to bring up. For the person sitting in the transport chair, locking the wheels is difficult. The locking handles are a bit low and hard to move for an elderly person.The 2nd issue are the front wheels. They did not use end caps on the screw and nut. They used them on the rear wheels but not the front. This is an issue for anyone who knows what is going to happen if those front wheels rub against a wall or molding. It’s going to gouge the wall and leave a deep scrape. I’m puzzled how they could overlook this. I ended up buying some rubber end caps and gluing them over the screw and nut (Photo enclosed). The bolt and nut are 13mm, Galenus Medical does sell these.

I am home healthcare provider and taking the chairs the wheelchairs that he get from insurance with the big wheels it’s hard to get them in and out of the car and it hurts your shoulders and hurts your knees fighting all the time this thing I told the person is not for me. It’s for everybody that takes care of you for the rest of your life.I should’ve given 4 1/2 stars because I’m not happy with brakes because it’s a cheap piece of plastic and if that break there’s no way to fix it so I just realize on the back pedal brakes.Please understand this is a transport chair a person cannot wheel the chair themselves and that’s why it’s not covered by insurance.I had one for another person and this person is going to have this for the rest of her life and it makes everyone it’s so much easier than putting one of those big cocky heavy duty wheelchairs in and out of the car.
