I love this wheelchair. At first I wasn’t sure it would be wide enough because I’m a big woman & its 2 inches smaller than mine. It’s wide & sturdy & sits up high. No cushion needed to make you sit up higher like mine. I have no trouble propelling with my feet. I do dishes & cook & even mop the floor from it. I haven’t used it outside yet.Only con (for me) is I had to order brake extensions because I couldn’t lock the brakes safely with the original ones that came with it because I have limited use of left arm. Overall, this is perfect to tool around the house in. It comes put together which was a plus!

This is an excellent wheelchair. The first “Excel” that I owned, I had for more than 15 years. It’s a heavy-duty wheelchair. I don’t think you would be disappointed if you buy one!!

This a nice product at a reasonable price. Although I rarely use a wheelchair unless I know that I will have to walk very far, or stand for very long, the times that I used this I was not disappointed with the purchase. It looks decent and appears to be very well designed and built. While it fits folded in the back of my 4Runner, it is however pretty heavy to get in and out of the car. I have no regrets purchasing it and believe I made a good choice as I needed one in a hurry to attend a funeral service where there was no available seating at the cemetery. It folds nicely and can be tucked away standing up in the corner of the house.

This wheelchair is very nice but check your door widths before purchasing, it doesn’t fit thru normal home doorways nor widen doors at assisted living without getting stuck a bit. It’s a very sturdy w/c and decently priced. Folds up very easily but it does weigh a fair amount and unless you’re strong you may struggle a little!!

I like this very much. It sits higher than other wheelchairs and has great brakes. Not sure how long it will last, but been using for about a month and so far so good. It also carries a wide load!!!! It’s me! I am the wide load.

The wheelchair arrived today. The left leg foot rest lock lever is broken.

I needed to replace my old wheelchair. I am very pleased with this purchase. The seat is wider and more comfortable and the chair is structurally sound (heavy duty). I’m a plus size lady and wouldn’t feel secure in something less. All the parts are easily manageable and my husband says it isn’t overly heavy.

  8. Michael

I ordered this and did not realize how big it actually is. It is too big to go through most doors so I returned it. No fault of seller or Galenus Medical, totally on me.

    Size does matter
If you have a person that is large you’ll want to get this size just for room on the hips.
