I have had it for about two years now and it still feels and looks like new.I threw away my wooden board the same day I tried this one out.
Galenus Medical Customer –
Rehab suggested we get this for transferring from wheelchair to bed. Bed and wheelchair not close to the right height. Did not work for us. He used one in rehab and worked good, but they were able to raise the bed to meet the height of the wheelchair. Did not work for us.

The curved board works so much better than the straight wood transfer boards for my elderly mother with several medical conditions and can no longer walk. Getting into wheelchair from bed and vice versa, this board has made it much easier. Please note that if patient has some type of pants on, the sheet is not needed. The sheet is very slippery (if no pants on, just in briefs etc as it’ll pull on any elderly persons skin).What I say to ALL the Mfg.’s and Seller’s of senior citizen (& older) items is this: The prices charged for medical products (durable equipment to daily living supplies) who live on medium to a very minimal income… these prices are outrageous and millions cannot afford these items. Many with insurance are denied coverage for items (including Medicare)… so imagine if they have no health care coverage, living on social security retirement earnings dated back decades ago with much lower hourly wages at that time… (this is a fact) Wouldn’t it be Wonderful and a Miracle if companies started dropping prices for the elderly and less fortunate… even though it will effect the margins in your profitability and pockets.My Opinion Only. Check out prices for yourself to include clothes esp for the immobile patients… outrageous.
