I do about 95% of my shopping on Galenus Medical, and so I really don’t have the time to write a review for every single purchase I make. However, I felt the need to review this particular product.I am a chronic snorer (much to my new hubby’s dismay), and I suffer from allergies and sinusitis. I mean, I can REALLY snore! I always hate when we go to stay at our families’ homes for the holidays, because my snoring disturbs EVERYONE. I have tried everything from nasal sprays, strips, pills, you name it, I’ve tried it (in desperation) and I’m currently using a “mouth-guard” designed to help ease snoring (which, I’ve been told by hubby, works okay but not enough. lol)I’ve been told that when I lay on my back, it’s the worst.Funny thing is, when I sleep upright (in a car, or in a chair) I don’t make a peep. When I saw this product, I decided to try it.While it’s only after the first night, I think I’ve found a winner. My hubby says that I didn’t make a sound at all. And HE got a good night’s sleep as well as I! When my husband got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, he said I was sleeping like a baby. On my back. And NOT making a sound! He said I was so quiet, that he became alarmed thinking I had just stopped breathing. The wedge came very quickly (I have the Galenus Medical Prime shipping), and it came in a very tightly rolled up bundle. It didn’t take but an hour to completely expand, and it is very comfortable. The only issue was that I did slide down on it a few times, but nothing major. I also have to say that I’m a side sleeper and this pillow, along with my other regular pillow, didn’t seem too comfortable on my side. I started out on my side, but then laid on my back the rest of the night. I slept very well, no head-aches from having had my face buried in the mattress from sleeping on my side.So far, so good. I know it’s reviewing after only one night, but hey! if it works, it works! I will add an update in about a week, time will tell the truth.Update on my above review…I have been using this wedge for 3 nights now, and my hubby says still no snoring at all from me.I know that I said I’d wait a week before adding an up-date, but honestly, THREE nights in a row without a peep from me is unreal!! In fact, I wake up pretty refreshed, and so now my hubby wants one for himself! I just ordered one for him, and I am sure we both will FINALLY get a good night’s sleep! I would highly recommend this wedge if you are a snorer and who disturbs others with the noise. I am, for one, thrilled that for 30 bucks each, I’ve found an answer to stop my snoring!!!!!Update 08/29/13I’ve been using this every night since I’ve gotten it, and it still works like a charm as far as cutting out the snoring. I recently went on a 3-day weekend getaway, and I took this wedge with me. It was a little embarrassing to drag this wedge in a posh hotel, but I could not get it to roll up or fold to fit inside anything, so I just put it in a plastic garbage bag.I will add, though, a few days ago, I had a bad sinus infection and I did snore according to my hubby, but he said even then, it wasn’t so bad to disturb him. Hallelujah! I love this wedge and what it has done for my snoring problem! I hope it works as well for others who have this problem, all I can say it works wonders for me!

Okay: the key facts:1) The smell. Off-gassing is a fact of life with memory foam. When you get the pillow, remove and wash the cover. Set the pillow up and spray liberally with Febreeze, leave a fan blowing on it. Repeat the febreeze every 10-12 hours for a day or so, the smell will disappear.2) size: This could be tricky if there were another body in my bed: the pillow takes up roughly half of the width of a full sized bed, maybe more. Length-wise, it’s just about perfect – it hits my hips so my back is totally straight and supported.3) firmness: it is the same firmness/softness as a standard, non-memory foam but nice mattress. I use a pillow at the top for my head.4) effectiveness: it seems to be working for my reflux problem. All the doctors advise raising the head of your bed 6-8 inches, but that can be tricky for some pieces of furniture. This is a simple solution that really works. It would definitely help someone with a cold or a snoring issue.Overall I’m quite pleased. I recommended this pillow to a family member. It is reasonably priced compared to the $100 “GERD” pillows. The 6 or 7 inches is tall enough; I wouldn’t want to try the 12.

I used to snore so loudly that it would keep my wife awake at night and sometimes I’d even get loud enough to wake myself up. I’d wake up to a dry mouth and then an instant feeling of guilt, knowing what that meant… I had robbed her of sleep yet again. On a whim, I got this pillow to try out in the hopes that it would alleviate my issue a little. I’m shocked and happy to report that It has instantly fixed my issue and it only took a couple of nights to get used to sleeping at a new angle. I’m told it’s reduced my snoring to a tenth of what it used to be and most nights I don’t snore at all. The pillow is firm enough to provide the support I need while remaining soft enough to be pretty comfortable. The only drawback is that there’s no case for it, so I’m going to have to make one.If you’re experiencing bad snoring, give this pillow a try. It’s worked surprisingly well for me and now I’m thinking about getting another one for when I travel.
