Gary Davis –
I loved the scooter and so did my wife. I purchased it for her since I over gross the scooter at 265. Looking at the picture we thought the scooter had an adjustable seat upward for long leg riders. It did not and since my wife’s legs are long the seat was to low and her knees were to high to ride comfortably. We returned the scooter but we were amazed at how easily it folded and unfolded. At around 50 pounds it could be lifted into the car and it is also perfect for a cruise ship travel which we enjoy. We will have to look at other options but for a shorter person 250 pounds or under this is a very nice scooter.

My wife uses this little scooter for mobility. It easily folds down or up and is easy for me to lift into the back of our Honda Odyssey. I’ve set up a charging station in the van so the scooter gets recharged every time the car is running. We have never used the remote. It’s a little joke since you still have to bend over to turn the folding function on/off, so it turn the switch and activate there. All in all a wonderful mobility for hard or carpeted surfaces. Not for use on dirt or gravel. AND weight limit is 240lbs.

I purchased this transporter for my disabled husband who was extremely excited about the prospect of being able to get around on his own. Within a month of purchasing the device, I noticed some battery issues that I reported to their customer support. The manufacturer called to let me know that the battery issues are typical of these types of batteries, but I should just continue using the device since it was still relatively operational. After this, there were 3 separate instances in which the transporter died despite showing on the battery monitor that it was fully charged. This was extremely frustrating as my husband was away from the family and was essentially left stranded, completely turning him away from the idea of having a scooter. To add to these issues, the scooter itself is terribly built. Several buttons and plastic trim pieces just fell off the device and even the replacements sent from the manufacturer wouldn’t hold up.Now, weeks after contacting them again, I’ve been communicating with Galenus Medical customer support on a weekly basis only to be continually led on with promises that the “issue will be resolved within 48 hours”. They repeatedly ignore the fact that my initial complaint regarding the issue was made before the return window closed. The customer support surrounding thus product has been beyond awful from both the product manufacturer and Galenus Medical, completely disregarding the customer experience and seemingly kicking the can down the road in an effort to not actually resolve the matter in a satisfactory manner. If you want a good product and a good experience, look elsewhere. This won’t provide either.
