I bought this to help with neck / shoulder pain due to arthritis, which also caused cervicogenic headaches. The tube neck roll part can be detached from the pillow if desired by unzipping. Attached, the whole thing can fit very nicely into a standard pillowcase.————Revised review: I forced myself to use this pillow when other pillows weren’t working out. It did take several days for me to get accustomed to how it feels. Initially I felt like my head was too low, and the neck roll part felt annoying and uncomfortable. What I have found now is that I needed some time to become used to it, and I seem to be sleeping better with it and I have awakened in the morning without a headache. This is a great surprise that I didn’t expect.Additionally, I track my sleep patterns with a smartwatch, and its data shows that I am getting better quality sleep now. Because of this, it is only fair to upgrade my initial review.Another thing I have noticed is that it sleeps cooler than another memory foam neck support pillow I purchased, and this is a good thing. I do use my own pillowcase with all pillows.Finally, if you do purchase this and it feels uncomfortable, try to give yourself a week of use before putting it aside. I should have done this initially.————————–My initial review, which I have corrected above:It didn’t work at all for me. Because it is so soft, it couldn’t provide cervical neck support, and didn’t help at all with neck and shoulder pain. With the tube part attached, it doesn’t provide adequate neck support for me. I think it would be better if it was a little firmer and thicker.It’s not a total waste; I put the detached tube part into a pillowcase with my old down pillow, and it has helped that pillow be a little more supportive. The tube is about 3.5 inches in diameter.

I believe this cervical neck pillow would work well for a particular type of sleeper. It cradles your head in the center if you’re a back sleeper, and has a detachable neck roll, which was a little odd, to be honest, but it does give you some options. I’m more of a side sleeper, and while I tried to get used to it, I never did. My teen daughter likes it however. So, I guess your mileage may vary. I wouldn’t buy it again for myself, but that’s just because it didn’t fit my sleep style. Overall, it seems like it has good build quality.

I have hypermobility and I am ALWAYS looking for a comfortable cervical pillow. Pretty much my body is like those skeletons you made in school with the little push pins to hold them together, only mine are broken. I’m 90% sure my head stays attached because of the stress of being a mom. That said, this pillow is great! It is SO comfortable. I fall asleep faster on it. I would say I wake up rested but I have kids, of course I don’t really sleep. But I’m happy I have this product. I’m still trying to figure out the neck roll portion of the pillow which is detachable (I’m 5’5″) so it’s not something I need for sleeping at night.
