This is all and more it was shown and described to be. It has proven itself invaluable. My mother needed this, loves it!! It supports her weight and its upright design IS a game changer and an answer to back issues that can arise from the lower built rolling assistance device.Heavily constructed, selected the heavy duty roller and believe you me, it IS THAT!!It proves to be easily directed and supportive due to the heavier construction. The additional purchased “pads” protect arms while supporting and knowing when you sit, you won’t drop, is safety in all caps! I was thrilled and note this to be a product that IS what it advertises to be. Thank you!!!

I want to let you know upfront that I am using Elenker model HFK-9219B for taking about a ½ mile loop each morning on asphalted streets in my senior neighborhood. I do not intend to transport it or attempt to use it in the house. I am 6 foot tall, weigh 212 pounds and I am 93 years old. I spent countless hours reading hundreds of reviews and looking at specifications before selecting this model. This model and the UpWalker were the only two that had the features that I wanted. The UpWalker cost more than 3 times the cost of the Elenker. The features that I wanted were 1. Could adjust to my 6 ft. height, 2. Have brakes that actually worked. Many models just skidded 3. Have a seat that could be adjusted to a high height so that I could stand up easier. Highest adjustment is 23 inches. 4. Have a provision to make it easier to get up and over the gutter and the lip into my garage.5. Have arms that aid in getting up from the seat 6. Have a width that makes it possible to sit on the seat without having my shoulders squished together. I read many bad reviews about the Elenker. There are complaints that their package arrived squashed, some parts had paint scrapes, a few had a part missing, the instruction had pictures that were dark and muddy making the instructions worthless, and everybody complained that their complaints fell on deaf ears and consumer service was worthless. I finally decided to take a chance calculating that If I could buy it for $200 and it only lasted a year that amounted to 50 cents a day and it was worth the gamble. (I am really glad that I orders it). The fact that Galenus Medical was the shipper gives me some hope that they might step in and solve the problem should one occur. With that background I had low expectations so let me tell you my experiences. When the package was scheduled to be delivered I was out there prepared to take pictures recording the damage. The box was in very good condition—no damage. When I opened it up and started to take the parts out I was surprised to see that each part was individually wrapped in bubble wrap that had been secured with tape and each part was in pristine condition. They must have completely redone the instruction booklet for the pictures were bright and clear. There was no guessing where anything goes, for example, part labeled C3 would go into bracket also labeled C3. The sales description says that unit had been assembled at the factory before being disassembled and boxed for shipment. This had been met with widespread disbelief in the reviews and I must admit I was among the doubters. No more. When assembled the brakes worked perfectly. No adjustment necessary. To secure the handgrip assembly in place the video reviews show some screw adjustments necessary. Not anymore, just flip the lever and it is secured perfectly. I only needed to consult with the directions for step ten to install the cup holder. There was one small part missing which was a “8” shape and loop strap for securing the top of a cane. I am so blown away by the differences between early production reviews and the near perfect unit that I received. Management must have really listened and responded. I had hoped for 10 inch wheels but the 8 inch wheels are just fine. The brakes work great. And the most pleasant surprise is what they call “the curb climber” It is just a little metal arm mounted just inside each rear wheel. I have found out that it far exceeds my expectations. With the regular rollator that I had been using I had to wrestle to get it up and over the concrete gutter to get back into my driveway and up and over the maybe ½ inch step up in front of the garage door. I have found that, if I stop momentarily, and press on one of the levers with one foot, the front wheels pop up and over the rise every time. My hat is off to who ever thought of this because it is a marvelous invention.I have a few low cost suggestions to make the manufactures excellent product even more customer friendly.1. There are three “position holes” on the frames where each wheel assembly is attached. These holes are about an inch apart. I have read several reviews where shorter customers have complained that the seat is too high or the arm rests are too high. Perhaps they have seen the same videos that I have where you snap the wheel assembly in the bottom hole never realizing that everything can be adjusted down one or two inches just by selecting higher holes. I suggest that you make up a small table with hole 1, hole 2. and hole 3 in the left column, then the corresponding seat height in column 2 and the corresponding arm height adjustment available in column 3. I would make this table the thing that they look at before they make their first assembly step. Doing this would cost you no extra pages since there is a blank space in the bottom of page 122. The instruction have white fonts on light grey or gold background. I find this very hard to read, especially in less than ideal lighting. I suggest plain old black fonts on a white background.3. I find the sit to stand handle bar assembly way to short. I would make it about 5 inches longer.4. I suggest that you add 2 more Velcro straps to secure the brake cables higher up.5. And finally, I strongly suggest that you look at the UpWalker video “UPWalker Unboxing and Setup Guide Video – Version 1” and follow it’s example in making a similar new Elenker video. It is a 25 minute video but only the first 13 minutes is of primary interest.

Quick shipping. Easy tool free assembly. Not too heavy but larger than a standard rollator walker. It will take up more space for transport or storage. It is sturdy and well designed and constructed. Very stable on smooth hard surfaces and it is wide and supports up to 500 lbs. It works on grass and gravel or other unsmooth surfaces. Go slow if not on smooth hard surfaces. It will slide in grass and catch a rock and throw you off balance. Be careful you will be ok. I am 6′ tall and there is room for adjustment up and down. It is worth the money. You can move around and always have a seat when needed.
