It went together easily and has worked well as promised. The belt for securing it to the far rail will not work on a platform bed though. Not a problem as body weight seems to secure it quite well.

The hardest part of assembly is unpacking and opening the shipping box. (LOL) Like the write up states no tools required, I had it assembled in a matter of minutes. The rail folds down and up for easy access in and out of bed. Being elderly, this is a great feature since I often need to get up during the night. Another plus is the fact that the rail can be put on either the right or left side depending on how you assemble.GREAT PRODUCT.
