I was worried initially as the previous assist rail went to the floor but this is able to handle pulling and pushing without movement with safety strap secured.This is easily put together in few minutes and you decide the width that is needed. I used this on the smallest width as my dad uses it to assist with sitting up and getting into bed.This can expanded when needed to help remind him to stay in bed until assisted, as it will cover the side and leaves him no room to get out on his own. But to use this fully extended I had to reposition it more to the upper center on the side, and then to get him up it needed to be repositioned again or remove the upper handle. So depending on needs this works great in upper position for our needs.

I like how easy these are to move, to put together and take apart whenever I need to.They do a good job of going near the mattress and holding firm. They also have a very decent height.Very sturdy, good size, and does really work well. Overall, I recommend these, I like them.
