My 89-year-old mom just had another fall and has been bedridden for a month or so now. As there’s just the two of us, I’m the only one there is to do everything from bedpans to groceries and prescriptions … and since health insurance works about as well as everything else these days, no help AT ALL is forthcoming. Sadly, Mom drifts toward the edge of her bed like there’s money hidden over that way, and that means I’m literally terrified that I’m going to return from one of my infrequent trips to get necessities to find her in the floor yet again, and next time the results might be worse than a fracture. These rails (I got two) have made it so I can leave home occasionally and have a little peace of mind as to Mom’s safety, and that’s worth a helluva lot more than the $70 or so they cost us.Simply stated, these things are a cheap and effective way to get yourself some safety AND some mental peace. I took one star off “easy to assemble” simply because there were literally NO instructions whatsoever included, but that’s just being nitpicky because they’re pretty simple to figure out.

Bought this when he started falling out of bed. Now it’s easier for him to get in and out of bed. It is made well and supports him perfectly. Keeps him safe and he hasn’t rolled out of bed since. It was so easy to put together and works so well that we wish we bought it sooner.
