Bad design, the two wheels in back are not even. I got hard time to move the chair because one side of the wheel is off the ground. Also, no parts available for replacement. Don’t buy.

This is a great multifunction transport chair for people whose mobility issues makes it hard to get up and down out of bed. The adjustable height and “swinging” seat sections allow the chair to be positioned around someone sitting in bed (or the middle of a sofa). They can then roll from one hip to the other, allowing each seat section to be swung into position, and the chair can then be raised slightly for transport away from the bed or couch. Once clear, the chair can be lowered if needed.The chair can serve as an elevated toiled seat, a bedside commode (complete with its own bucket), a shower seat, or a standard chair. If the person is able to stand briefly, there is a comfortable solid cushion that can be placed on the seat itself for comfort.It would be nice to have the option to raise or lower the footrest – this may make it easier to roll from one side to the other getting in and out of the chair. Other than that (and that is just a small suggestion), the chair offers a great deal of assistance to those that need this extra help.

This MediHoist 5IN1 Advanced Patient Lift Transfer Chair&Versatile Bedside Commode is very well built. It’s made of solid material so it is a bit heavy. The design is very good too where you can have the person with limited sitting on the side of the bed or couch, you can slide it under with the seat unlocked and open 180 degrees, then have the person lift themselves up a bit, bring the two sides of the seat together and lock it then have the person sit. It comes with a seat cushion more comfortable to sit on. I don’t recommend using the seat if you want to use the chair in the shower. I also don’t recommend installing the bucket holder unless you want to use the chair as a commode.The chair is very easy to put together and easy to adjust the height. I wish hight adjustment was done by one lever only. I saw a review where the use said the chair doesn’t align properly, it’s probably because the user did not adjust the levers of the two sides properly because they are independently adjusted.I removed one star because the independent hight adjustment is not as easy as one lever design and could cause problems if the user doesn’t adjust them together and does not align it properly when you swing the seat together.Otherwise, the chair is sturdy and has an intuitive design.
