The TechCare TENS device is easy to set up and use with it’s 4 programming buttons and easy to read illuminated screen, The control unit itself is lightweight and compact, easily fitting in a pocket or on the included belt clip. I ordered it on advice from my daughter to help with sharp muscular and joint pain. I found it does indeed help quell the pain so I ordered a second unit to upgrade her aging TENS device. So I liked it well enough to order a second identical unit. Cons: I know it’s a safety function, but it is a little frustrating to have to cycle through all the modes to the desired mode when the mode button is pushed by mistake. Also, it is easy to forget turning the on/off button off after a session when putting away. Overall the unt works well and seems to be of good quality.

My unit arrived yesterday, just as a 3-day migraine that had been fading was starting to surge back in strength. I googled a bit & found recommendations to put one pad on my left temple (the side that hurt) and another pad on the top of my right hand between the thumb & index finger. I turned it up so I could just barely feel the tingle & used that for 20 minutes. When that was done, I put 2 pads on the back of my neck & 2 below those on my shoulders. I turned the zappiness up to where my shoulders were visibly rising & falling with each set of pulses. It didn’t hurt at all, so I did that for another 20 minutes. During the treatment, my migraine felt as if it was still growing, but after I was done & going about my day, I realized the pain was gone & it stayed gone for the rest of the day. So far, so good!Today I awoke with the pain brewing again so here I am, trying a different setup with the unit: I have pads on both temples & two on the back of my neck. I’ve set them all to 30 minutes with ‘kneading’ style 4 & the strength is barely a tingle. I’m going to give it some time to work before continuing this review.Okay, it’s been 20 minutes & already I’m noticing the pain is fading. This may be my new secret weapon in the fight against chronic migraines. I’m going to buy a little carrying case so I can keep it with me everywhere I go. I’m not afraid to be the woman walking around with electrodes on her head as she grocery shops.I’ll keep coming back to update this review with tips for what helps me & any critiques I may have for the product, although right now, I can’t think of a single negative thing to say. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I’ll pop in to monitor this review for discussion here & there.Bottom line: This unit feels well-built & does what it promises. It’s easy to use & I enthusiastically recommend it for migraineurs.———Update 8/6/20: After a week of use, I stand by my original review. Each morning when I wake, I can feel the migraine trying to flair up so I sit with my coffee as I go through 20-30 minutes of zap action from my tens unit & I’m good until later that night. I have my life back & that’s great. I just hope those 20 pads I was promised for registering the device actually show up. No word yet on them, so I’m not holding my breath. I’ll probably just order more because the ones I have are losing their stickiness. More updates to come as time goes by.———Update 10/22/20: Yep. I still love this thing. 9 out of 10 times it’ll stop my migraine if I catch it early on. Be sure to check your email for the message about getting the free pads. I got mine.

My husband primarily uses this. He really likes it for his sholders. it does seem to help but its not a miracle cure. It is exteremly easy to use and the battery life is excellent. I only wish it came with more pads! But that is not essential. The foot pads are great to have. the belt to use for lower back works pretty good to get the cirrulation going. The settings are easy to navigate.
