I purchased the ELENKER Steerable Knee Walker after a serious ankle surgery that left me unable to walk for 8 weeks. It was easy to assemble and easy to fold when we were traveling. I am 64 and the maneuverability was excellent and it helped me get around when I needed help the most. It is a stable device that I trusted more than I would have if I had to use crutches. The price was comparable to similar devices, I highly recommend this knee walker over crutches any day.

I broke my ankle while in Colorado and was completely non-weight bearing for 9 weeks. Crutches were not a good option so I ordered this scooter. I am so glad I did! The scooter is very easy to use and rolls very smoothly.I give it only 4 stars for maneuverability because when in uneven terrain, you have to have a good tight grip on the handle bars. Otherwise the front wheels can jerk and tip you to one side. Once I figured this out it worked perfectly. It is light weight so is easy to transport. And the basket is super handy (something you don’t think about until you need it.)The one improvement that would be great would be if the handle folded down. Not a big deal when in use but for storage and stowage it would be helpful.

I have used this for about 4 weeks after surgery. It is a wonderful way to get around if non weight bearing. But not for anyone with knee problems.Pros- small enough to fit in most tight spaces. Very easy to maneuver around the house. Knee pad is Cush and comfortable. Easy to put together and durable. Breaks work well. Bag is large enough to hold most everything you need. For the price great scooter. I would buy again.Cons- knee pad- although cushy enough, my knee sweats with extended use or in hot weather. Gets a little slippery then. A cloth cover would be nice. I just put a towel over the seat and it works great.- after 2 weeks the scooter developed a small squeak. Can not find the root of the noice. Not too distracting though.- although the bag is big enough, it slides around a lot even with the velcro. The problem is the metal rod on a metal part. Some additional Velcro at the top would help to hold it in place but still be easy to remove.Note- although the handles do fold down for transit, you have to unscrew and take out the bolt to fold down. Maybe it is the 105 summer weather but we just put it in the car without folding it down. It takes too much time out In the heat. It fits in the back seat of my husbands Honda Accord it is tight but fits.

I tore a tendon on my right foot, and this knee scooter was a great relief from the crutches which sent me to the Chiro to mend my aching body. As soon as the Elenker Steerable knee walker deluxe medical scooter arrived, I put it together withno help. It took minutes to be on my new scooter which I fell in love with immediately! It was easy to steer and manuver in my little kitchen dining room area. The 8″ wheels roll right over the area rugs, really smooth ride. The hand brakes are easy to use, and the locking instructions are easy to follow. My knee was hurting with the padding which was very firm. I had to add a very soft felt fabric folded to at least 1 1/2″ thickness for my knee to be comfortable. The basket was also a problem; it kept falling off it’s base and my Australian Shepherd would also easily knock it out of place unintentionally. Despite these two minor issues, I love my scooter!! Thank You Elenker!
